Tag des Tanzes 2006
Reso’s commitment to achieving better conditions in the fields of artistic research and production comes in different forms. In partnership with Reso, various infrastructures offer opportunities for artistic experimentation and exchanges aimed at encouraging the promotion and development of creation for young audiences. Artistic creation in all its diversity is encouraged all over Switzerland in collaboration with production organisations and as part of the Dance Day.
By facilitating an ongoing dialogue between production and distribution organisations, the association encourages the sharing of resources and practices within its network of members. Reso provides a common platform for work, ideas and action, making nationwide cooperation possible on projects such as the Programmers’ Fund. Aimed at improving artistic quality and general conditions, Reso supports its members and also advises them on their development.
As a centre of competence, Reso acts as an advisory body for its members and seeks to reinforce dance’s place in society through a variety of projects – an annual dance festival staged in different towns, cities and cantons, conferences, training courses, events bringing specialists together, the launch and development of new arts education formats and the construction and updating of a comprehensive database of resources (www.vermittlung-tanz.ch) – all of which serve to increase recognition of the art form of dance.
In a workshop over 9 to 10 days, about 15 Swiss (tour) managers or artists in charge of promotion for dance or theater companies have the opportunity to gain understanding in promotion on an international level, think over their practices and gather practical tools.
