Reso is a network of organizations from the professional dance creation context. Reso realizes a vision of a coordinated and extensive system of dance support with funding agencies. It strengthens local and regional initiatives in the areas of infrastructure, audience development, production, diffusion, documentation and archiving. This networking creates a center of competence that fulfills needs with national relevance.

In the face of insufficient prerequisites for dance in Switzerland, the Federal Office of Culture, Pro Helvetia Arts Council Switzerland, cities, cantons, associations and the independent scene initiated “Projekt Tanz”. It analyzed the existing funding system, brought dance onto the cultural political agenda and instigated pilot projects. Reso is the logical result: it creates a common work, reflection and action platform in order to realize the recommended measures.
